Cross country skiing is very easy to learn and most cross country ski areas offer lessons, rental equipment, and a host of ski services including warming areas, food service, and overnight accommodations. Snowshoeing is even easier to learn and most cross country ski areas offer dedicated snowshoe trails, rentals and helpful hints to get started.
